It reads as a trail marker, a route blaze, a warning stripe on heavy equipment — depending on where you spend your day. All three are correct.
Practically, it works because it survives shrinking. It's legible embroidered at three inches on a hat and it's legible printed at fourteen across a jacket back. Most logos aren't. Most logos are a wordmark that turns to mush the moment it gets small.
It also works in one color when it has to, which matters more than people think once you're paying for a fourth screen.
